Fall has arrived....

I noticed some tree leaves are turning as we drove to Pinnacle Mt.State Park today for the annual Indian Rendezvous and they are so colorful.I hope to make a trip to the northern part of the state within the next few weeks to enjoy more.It was a beautiful, cool, sunny day and the family enjoyed a good outing.

Going back to work...

Tomorrow I go back to work after being off for nineteen days due to surgery. I look forward to all the work I have to catch up on. All the emails I'll have to sift through to answer or delete, and all the job sheets that will need filed.
I also look forward to seeing my work family and catching up on all happenings of the last nineteen days.

Feeling better...

Well it's been one week today since the surgery and I'm starting to get around better.I actually got out of the apartment yesterday long enough to go the library. I was very tired by the time I got back home, but it was good to get out. I found out yesterday from the doctor, I'll be off work for three weeks instead of two.I'm thankful for friends calling , cable TV and the internet, without them I would go stir-crazy!

Post Op...

Well I made it through surgery and now I'm moving slow as a snail, but I'm moving.
I have four incisions and a very sore belly area. The worse part is getting up from the couch or bed..ouch!
I've slept a lot and after all these weeks of very little rest or sleep I welcome it now,and the meds help.Hopefully in a few more days I'll be able to get around a little better without so much pain.

Lazy days...

A rainy day is always good for laying around and watching movies, and that's exactly what I did most of the weekend.I enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing ,no pressure day after a long busy work week like last week.

Changes....

Ive never been fond of change, although I know it's just a part of life.
Changes in my life of late, my son is back in France for a year, my sister moved forty miles from me,and I'm having gall bladder surgery in a week. I always dislike that my son is out of the states for such a long period of time.I can't really explain the feeling I have of my sister moving,I just feel more alone oddly. I'm some nervous with the surgery coming up,but I'm tired of being in pain and hopefully it's for the best.

He's coming home!

I'm smiling a lot these days.My son will be home next week after nearly a year in France.I saw him in December, but it's not like having him home.He won't be here long because he has to get moved to Pennsylvania to attend Penn State.I have planned some days off from work to spend with him.We may not do more than sit here in the apartment but we'll be together,as a mom that means a lot.And as a mom I'll be sitting on pins and needles till his plane has landed and I see his face in the crowd at the airport baggage claim area. He's had to leave friends behind ,but he has friends and family here who love him and will be happy to see him.Although it doesn't stop the hurt of leaving good friends behind, I know it will soften it some. We all love you Zac....welcome home.
