Paris..

My last two days in France were spent in Paris. It's a wonderful city and
offers so many amazing sights to see.It seems everyone goes to Paris to see the Effiel Tower, but my favorite was The Arc de Triomphe,it was so magnificent, and at the top of it you have the most incredible view of the city. Sightseeing in Paris was like plunging into ancient history. You can spend days in the Musee du Louvre viewing sculptures, paintings, jewellery, furniture and so much more, from the 16th,17th and 19th centuries. We looked for what seemed like hours and only scratched the surface.I must say I was a little disappointed when I saw the 'Mona Lisa', I had always thought it to be this really large painting and it was maybe an 11x14 painting!I really enjoyed seeing Paris at night with all the lights and even though it was so very cold I throughly enjoyed walking around the city.Especially our long walk down the world famous avenue, the Avenue des Champs-Elysees.Boy was I tired after that walk!! Would I do it again..in a heartbeat! It was awesome and I was very pleased with myself for being able to do it,as well as climbing all the stairs everywhere we went.Don't get me wrong it was a struggle at times to keep going, but I refused to give up or give into the pain in my feet. This was a once in a life time event for me and no minor pain was going to cause me to miss any of it.
