Pinnacle Mountain Rendezvous...

October 21,2006 was the annual Rendezvous on Pinnacle Mountain, free to public except for a small parking fee.
In the Pioneer Settlement you could watch demonstrations of: spinning; open fire cooking; fire starting; knife throwing; black powder gun, flint, and other Mountain Man skills. At the General Store you could purchase lye soap, leather goods and many other items.
There were canoe rides; wall cimbing; blacksmithing, horseback riding and of course there were food vendors where you could get anything from a corn dog to a funnel cake (I shared a funnel cake with my sister, and yes it was full of calories and darn good!)
You could experience the heritage of a living Indian Village, as you watched the Dance to the Spirit in honor of the People and all Creation performed, by the Native Americans in full dress.
It was a beautiful, warm , breezy day and the trees are starting to change colors on the mountain side making it even more gorgeous. I'm looking forward to the next couple of weeks when the fall foliage will be at its peak.
