First Day in France..

Wow! What a wonderful trip and experience the nine December days in France were.
I had a great personal guide and interpreter,my son. Now I've never been one to care for flying, but I actually did ok on this trip. The flight over was a night flight and I would have slept , except for the unhappy baby who cried most of the flight. Needless to say I was eagerly looking forward to seeing my son, since it had been four months since he'd moved to France. When I first saw him at the airport my heart warmed and I'm sure I was smiling from ear to ear.We boarded the train and were on our way to Strasbourg. What a lovely city, from the rock streets to the Christmas markets and all the lights,it was all such a sight to see. It was so cold, everyone was all bundled up with heavy coats, scarfs, hats and gloves and drinking hot spiced wine.I believe it was in the 30s during the daytime and 20s/teens at night,or it felt like it anyway!
The hot spiced wine was very good or maybe it was just because it was so cold out.And the crepes were delicious,we had a ham & cheese and later a chocolate one for dessert,my favorite being the chocolate,of course. After the nearly ten hour plane ride and no sleep ,then walking the streets of Strosbourg,I slept like the dead that night!
