Along the river..............

One of my favorite past-times is going down to the River Front Park to sit and watch people, as well as the boats that go up and down the Arkansas River.
This past week I had the pleasure of seeing a large steam/paddle-wheel boat, which was docked to allow it's passengers to tour the city. It came from Ohio, stopping in New Orleans ,then docking overnight in North Little Rock and was headed to St.Louis the next day. I envied the passengers as they sat on the top deck drinking their ice tea , discussing their recent tour of our city and the next sights they'd see. As the boat pulled away some of it's passengers waved to those of us on the river bank. As I waved back I couldn't help but think how beautiful and romantic a sunset must be from the top deck each afternoon.
